About the Employer

Style Forum is a locally owned and operated full-service hair salon featuring 12 stations in an open-floor environment. Established in 1975, Style Forum is now offering independent stylists the opportunity to rent a chair at this fully functioning salon for a very affordable monthly fee. This is the first time this opportunity is being offered to experienced stylists. There are several full time stylists currently working for the salon so there are six available stations on a daily basis. We are looking for a few, well-suited individuals who are willing to work independently yet collaboratively with others in the salon. It is crucial to maintain a pleasant, friendly, and productive environment – something Style Forum has enjoyed from the beginning. Our goal has always been to foster a pleasant and friendly environment. We encourage a level of camaraderie with each stylist helping one another with a general courtesy to the salon and the environment. It is good for the stylists, the customers, and for business. We will not tolerate a toxic culture. If you have the desire to be your own boss but do not have the capital to start your own salon; if you have had an established career and you want to maintain your best clients without the expense of owning a salon; if you are a stylist who needs a flexible schedule – this is your opportunity to shine. Applicants: Must have and maintain their own scheduling, booking of appointments and book of business. Must have their own styling equipment; scissors, combs, flat-irons, insurance, and workman's comp. Style Forum will supply: Individual station that is complete with chair, sink, vacuum, work area, and storage space. Hair color, shampoos, & conditioners are in stock and available for a nominal fee. The kitchen is downstairs along with a wax room and laundry facilities that are shared by all.
