Shelly Burns, Midwest Beauty Business Broker is a visionary Leader, Industry Innovator, Business Broker, and Advocate for Beauty Professionals.
With over 40 years of experience in the beauty industry, I’ve built a reputation as a leader, innovator, and advocate for salon professionals. For 21 years, I owned Elevate Salon (now Wyld Roots Salon) in Arvada, Colorado, creating a space where clients could escape the everyday and rediscover their best selves. Under my leadership, the salon became a beloved community hub, as Arvada’s Top Salon for five consecutive years, and proudly served as a Certified Summit Salon.

Alongside my work in the salon, I’ve had the privilege of sponsoring the Colorado Mammoth Cheerleaders and providing beauty services for the Miss Colorado Pageant for eight years. Throughout my career, I’ve earned advanced certifications, including DevaCurl, Redken Specialist, Xtreme Lash, and Curl Cult, and was among the first in Colorado to develop a grant-based apprenticeship program that has helped launch the careers of countless beauty
professionals.
Now, as a Business Broker for Salon Spa Connection, I am excited to help guide salon and spa owners through the process of entrepreneurship, acquisitions, and growth. With my expertise in business management, salon operations, and industry education, I’m passionate about helping salon owners navigate the complexities of buying, selling, and growing their businesses.
My mission is to support salon entrepreneurs in building successful, sustainable businesses that align
with their vision and values. In addition to my work as a broker, I remain committed to educating and mentoring the next generation of beauty professionals. I’ve guided associates through the Summit Salon Associate Program and continue to engage with organizations such as the Professional Beauty
Association (PBA).
